After paying almost $80 for two 1.7 bottles of the EltaMD sunscreen from Amazon, I received bottles that were almost empty. They felt light and sure enough, there was only about four squirts of product in both bottles! Amazon refers me to EltaMD who tells me they can’t do anything about an item purchased on Amazon. I’ve been buying this product for years and love it. Thought I could save a couple bucks on Amazon and I’ve been burned.(UPDATE 10/29): Since leaving this review I have been in further contact with Amazon and they agreed to exchange the product, which I have recently received. It was noticeably heavier and all is well with a product that I like enough to pay $40 for 1.7 ounces. I appreciate that Amazon stood behind their sale even though they had to take my word for the fact that it was empty when I received it. Good job!

I have to say at first I was skeptical that this would be worth the money, as it is a bit pricey. But let me tell you, this product is worth it! I have rosacea and my skin is prone to irritation from many products. But I need a good quality sunscreen to wear daily. This product does not irritate my sensitive skin, provides excellent protection from the sun. It does not leave a white cast on my skin, and dries clear. A little goes a long way too. If you have sensitive skin or rosacea, give this a try. It is a great product!

Been using it for around two months now and it is the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. Doesn’t feel sticky at all and doesn’t pill or clash with my moisturizer (which is quite thick and has pilled with a few Korean/Japanese sunscreens before). It smells “medical” almost like you’re at a dentist office, and odd enough I feel more reassured because of the lack of fragrance. The faint smell is only there when you pump it out and apply it, then it disappears quickly. It has also made my skin look brighter and healthier too. I suggest waiting for the next sale and stocking up. It’s pricey but well worth it.

My friend, a dermatologist, recommended this daily face sunscreen when I asked her what she uses. I’ve used some fancy sunscreens with wonderful scents and textures – and some cheap ones that also did a great job – but this one is just a great sunscreen. I was worried it would leave a white tint on my moderately pale skin – but it did rub in clear pretty quickly. There is also no scent (which may be good or bad depending on your preferences). Assuming it meets the SPF rating – this is probably one of the most pleasant-feeling sunscreens above SPF 30.

This is the only sunscreen I’ve tried that actually works under my foundation without causing any pilling, sliding, splotching, etc like most facial sunscreens. I’ve used it outside in 100+ degree weather and it stays put and keeps me from burning. I’ve also never noticed any breakouts or skin irritation from this cream. Yes, it costs more than other brands, but in my opinion it is 100% worth it. It’s hard to find a sunscreen that works, doesn’t cause breakouts or irritation, and doesn’t create issues with make up.
