This is a CLOCK so it desperately needs an hourly beep instead separate routines that does not work from the ones i’ve tried. Of course , the hourly beep should be an option because some folks may not want it but should be an option to select or unselect. UPDATE!

I wanted a device near my bed to see the time and use Alexa. I like the Night Mode, which dims the screen enough to reduce light without being too bright. I don’t think I’d miss the touchscreen, but others might find it useful.

are you constantly asking alexa ” what time is it, whats the temperature? ” no need . pick the right screen face and its all right there at a glance along with the date. link it to your sound bar via blue tooth and watch the screen display the album cover and scroll the name of the song your listening to on amazon music or amazon music unlimited or your favorites list. the touch screen on this echo works fine . instead of saying ”alexa next” you can touch the screen and another screen pops up allowing you to pause fast forward to the next song or go back and play the song again if you have music unlimited. the only thing this echo wont do is tell the inside temperature but if you have the echo that does in another room you will hear the inside temp on it anyway. the touch screen is a nice touch. you cant go wrong.

I use it in my son’s room and it works great. It connects to Alexa and controls our smart lights. The volume is nice and loud. The screen is a touch screen.

I like the screen opinion it makes it easy to get the time and time has well music opinions that appears up front. What I’m disliking about the Echo spot is the connectivity disconnects alot like I need to move my wifi modem.

Love the Alexa speaker! The sound quality is great and it’s really easy to use. The only small downside is that the volume could go a bit higher, but overall, it’s a fantastic product. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

Everything I was looking for! Bluetooth connected to my Sony amplifier for big sounds from my old non-bluetooth Bose speakers.. Display shows clock and what music is playing (from my Sirius XM stations).Many more features I haven’t explored yet.

I like Alexa and use it in my living room. I put up with an old (like from the 70s!) alarm clock that didn’t even have a batter back up for power outages! This alexa clock has a battery AND all the cool features of an Alexa. She can wake me with a gentle alarm – it really does help me wake up without having a heart attack in the process. She can play “random sleep sounds” at bed time with “rain” my current favorite. The light is quite low, but if i can’t see it, I can just ‘ask’ – Hey, Alexa! What time is it? She always tells me. Not a rude bone in her body, I’m certain. 😀 Good addition to my bedroom, and looks sharp and fits well into a tiny headboard space. Excellent purchase.

Complete control over how bright the clock face is important to me with a plus that it can have different clock faces. If it had a charging port I could plug into is the only thing that would make it better.

Seems to me the marketing of this new Echo is pitched to be used in the bedroom as a modern version of the old nightstand alarm clock radio. Which it absolutely is. And a great version of that. It displays a few cool versions of the clock to choose from. It includes day/night indicator, temperature, weather icon, day, date and month. And looks really sleek and unobtrusive.But this little bad boy is so much more. We use it in the family room / living room. It’s that good looking. The microphone is improved over previous versions, so it can hear commands clearly from across the room. And the sound for music is phenomenal.I got it as an upgrade from an older model and am very happy I upgraded. Would highly recommend.

This echo spot is a nice upgrade from the older echo I had. I like how it shows the alarm time on screen and how it shows the name of songs and who sung it. Shows time and temperature and day of week along with the weather. Nice sound but not great bass.

I like the looks of the clock…. what I don’t like is the lack of documentation either printed or on line. Having issues with setting up scheduled night mode which darkens the clock face during the night, so it don’t blind you. Tried chat option with amazon, to no avail. Don’t know if its a prog problem or a product defect, but not having DETAILED instructions, its really hard to tell??? Not sure about recommending, especially if user wants to use the niight mode feature (?)UPDATE: Bumped my rating to 5 star after I figured out not all options for the clock are in the app. Some of the settings have to be changed through the touch screen on the clock. Why I don’t know … it would have been nice if documentation would have said that .. anyway found setting for night mode and got it changed, thus the upgrade now to 5 stars.
